Chase Ink Business Premier Card Now Publicly Available

For small business owners, business credit cards can be beneficial as they not only help with cash flow but can also provide business owners with cashback that can be reinvested. With that in mind, Chase has made its newest small business card available to more business owners. Since debuting in December 2021, the Chase Ink Business Premier card had only been available to select Chase business customers. However, the card is now being offered via digital and retail channels.

With the Chase Ink Business Premier, small business owners can earn 2.5% cashback on all large purchases. These are defined as transactions of $5,000 or more. All other purchases will earn 2% back. Additionally, cardholders can earn 5% total cashback on travel purchased through Chase Ultimate Rewards.

Notably, while it’s billed as a credit card, the Business Premier is more akin to a charge card — or, as Chase describes it, a Pay in Full card. Because of this, the card is aimed at business owners who prefer to pay off their total balance each month. Yet, the card does also feature Flex for Business, which allows cardholders to pay for eligible purchases over time (and with interest).

To mark the public launch of the card, Chase is offering a welcome bonus. Currently, new cardholders can earn $1,000 in cashback when they spend $10,000 in purchases on the card within their first three months. The card does carry a $195 annual fee, which is not waived for the first year.

Announcing the wider release of the card, Chase Ink GM Jenny Shum said in a statement, “Business owners work hard, and we want their business credit card to work just as hard for them. This card helps owners to grow their business while also being rewarded along the way. Over the last year, our business customers have affirmed that the card’s rich rewards, increased purchasing power and payment flexibility have been instrumental in allowing them to scale their businesses.”

Shum continued, “We’re excited to see all the ways they will use the Chase Ink Business Premier credit card to reinvest in their businesses and build something bigger than they ever imagined.”

Now that the Chase Ink Business Premier card is more widely available, it’s one that small business owners may want to consider. While the Pay in Full model and the $195 annual fee may not make it right for every entrepreneur, the ability to earn 2.5% back on large purchases could certainly make it rewarding. Therefore, those business owners looking for a new credit card option may want to take a closer look at this new Ink option.
